Roles and Responsibility :

Position Title: Sourcing Manager

Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu

Educational Qualification: Adv. Diploma (Tool and Die making)-NTTF/ IGTR, B.E.(Mechanical)

Experience: 8 to 12 years in similar roles

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Quality plan of the product to be developed. 
  • Conduct stage wise PPAP at component manufacturer.
  • Manufacturability review of parts.
  • Approve the Tool design & Review of Tool making Process.
  • Preparation of cost effective tool/Fixture / Gauges concept.
  • Part sourcing with competitive rates (Tool & Part).

Skills and Competencies

  • Process understanding Draw, forming processes, Machining processes, Surface finishing processes.
  • Understanding of Raw material grades.
  • IATF 2016 System knowledge -Core tools- APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
  • Understanding of Tool designing and manufacturing, tool tryouts.
  • Understanding of above process & Rapid detection, Pokayoke.
  • CCPM Methodology.
  • Understanding of Machine hour rates and Raw material rates.
  • Identification of failure modes & decision making. 
  • Identification noise factors.
  • Identification of failure modes & decision making. Trade off.
  • Analytical Skills-Presentation and Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills.
  • Identifying optimum process to meet the drawing specification.
  • Negotiation Skills, Tradeoff, Analytical Skills, Presentation and Communication Skills.
