Roles and Responsibility :

Job Role: Service Engineer

Location: Madhya Pradesh - Indore/ Raipur / Bhopal

Experience: 3-5 Years

Educational Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in (Electronics / Biomedical / Instrumentation) or equivalent combination of education

Job Description

  • Provides entry level technical service for medical equipment at the customer site including installation, maintenance, repair and technical support.
  • Schedule and perform routine periodic manufacturer’s certification on equipment at customer locations in accordance with service contract, company procedures and standards.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment in response to service calls.
  • Be "on-call" outside of normal working hours to provide emergency service. May provide service via telephone communication.
  • Installation of new equipment, technical support for upgrades and other special service programs to support field service activities.
  • Promote customer satisfaction through proactive, professional communication with the customer.
  • Document service work performance; extract equipment documentation, diagnostic information, place inventory and parts orders, and perform other electronic data communications and transfers as may be directed or required to effectively perform job responsibilities.
  • Manage dispatches and time effectively and efficiently to drive high impact services to customers.
  • Provide leadership to teams performing system installations, start up and commissioning, operational training for new installations and instruments. Actively participate as requested in training and mentoring of new employees in both technical and customer skills.
  • Offer technical assistance and support to customers, sales personnel, distributors, manufacturer representatives and authorized service providers as required. Provide information and feedback to Technical Support and Manufacturing for problem identification and resolution leading to product/process improvement.
  • Contribute to service growth by seeking and developing sales/service opportunity leads that promote product sales and rental activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Eligibility Criteria

  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial service environment, preferably with analytical instrumentation, with a demonstrated proficiency in performing in-house (shop) repairs and/or field repairs
  • 1 year minimum of previous customer or field service experience required.
  • Previous Field Service experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams on assigned services.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively articulate and communicate company and product information to external and internal customers.
  • Must be able to read, understand schematics and other diagrams provided for use in repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment and comprehend technical problems and provide effective solution.
  • Must be proficient in the use of PC applications including MS office, and able to use or learn other applications as business dictates.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be customer focused.
  • Demonstrates aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Must be able to travel within territory and willing to travel outside of territory, on need basis.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks / assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong service/work assignment planning and execution skills.
  • Travel is estimated to be 30% or greater, as necessary
  • Manual dexterity to use a keyboard, tools and test equipment.
